I just realized that being too sensitive about a lot of things is a bad thing. Not only because it’s annoying for other people to be around you, but also because it forces others to lie about things just to make you feel good and to avoid hurting you. In a way, being too sensitive hinders other people from being transparent about a lot of things.
It sucks to know that other people are saying good things to/about you just to make you feel good. It sucks to know that they’re just kissing your ass because they know that you won’t be able to handle the truth.
What i realized? It’s better to get hurt than to believe something that’s not real. Toughen up, Mela.
